摘要
This review includes a discussion on the origins of sulphur and chlorine in coal and the extent to which these and associated elements are transformed during the coal combustion process. The role of pyrite and alkali and alkaline earth sulphates and chlorides in promoting slagging and fouling, and the effects of in situ sulphation on deposit formation, are discussed in relation to current ash deposition models.
