摘要
In this paper we describe an experimental and theoretical investigation into the flow between a long low cuboid building placed upwind of a tall cuboid in a simulated atmospheric boundary layer. Measurements were made of the instantaneous longitudinal (along the axis of the tunnel) velocities using a pulsed hot-wire anemometer. The experiments have confirmed the existence of amplified ground level mean winds and turbulence for this building configuration. The results are compared with the flow around the two buildings in isolation. A simple order of magnitude argument has been developed which predicts the maximum amplifications observed. © 1979.
