摘要
The advantages of the High Voltage Electron Microscopy for investigations of the deformation mechanisms in polymers are mentioned. Amorphous one‐ and tow‐phase polymers, showing microprocesses of deformation and fracture in close connection with crazing, are investigated in detail. In the glassy polymers the structure of the crazes can be very different in dependence on the polymer morphology, the testing parameters, and others. Semi‐quantitative relationships between the microprocesses, the fracture toughness, and the polymer morphology could be obtained for high‐impact polymers. Copyright © 1979 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
