摘要
The first successful isolation of a nickel sulfoxide, NiS(=O)R, is attributed to the sterically encumbered sulfur sites in 4*. The NiS bond distance of a homologous series varies NiS(=O)R > NiSR > NiS(=O)(2)R. Despite a long (1.548(8)A)S-O bond in 4*, the oxygen is not easily removable, but rather 4* displays further O-atom uptake ability with both H2O2 and O-2.
