摘要
SUMMARY.— The degranulation of rat peritoneal mast cells produced by Compound 48 80, by two antigens and by hydration has been studied with the electron microscope. The different mediators of degranulation do not apparently act in the same way. Degranulation by antigens produces bizarre forms of granule and clumping of the granules, which does not occur with Compound 48/80 or hypotonic solutions. Hypotonic solutions produce swelling of cyto‐plasmic membranes but no alteration in the granules. The differences are illustrated and discussed. Copyright © 1969, Wiley Blackwell. All rights reserved
