摘要
The partially sintered spheres model is further developed to account for the influence of inert material present in the solid reactant. This model is applicable, for example, to the slufation of CaO with a variable amount of inert material. An example is the reaction between calcined dolomite, CaO multiplied by (times) MgO, and SO//2, when used as an SO//2 sorbent in a boiler furnace. The results show that the rate of reaction increases and the active part of the sorbent reaches a higher degree of conversion when inert material is present.
