摘要
Excess volumes, VE, of binary mixtures of arsenic tribromide with benzene, cyclohexane, and carbon tetrachloride have been calculated from experimental density data at 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15 K over the entire composition range. The VE for solutions of arsenic tribromide with benzene are negative indicating the strong intermolecular interactions between the components resulting in the formation of a 1: 1 charge-transfer type complex. For the other two binary mixtures VE is positive. VE decreases with an increase of temperature for the binary mixtures studied. © 1979, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
