EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF NON-LINEAR NON-ISOTHERMAL VISCOELASTICITY

摘要
The viscoelastic behavior of a Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR) under finite uniaxial and equal biaxial deformations is investigated for the non-isothermal case. It is found that the material is 'thermorheologically simple' in that variable temperature fields can be accounted for through the so-called 'time-temperature superposition principle' familiar to infinitesimal viscoelasticity. Constitutive equations of the same form as in isothermal viscoelasticity are used with real time replaced by reduced time. A close agreement between the theoretically predicted and experimentally measured stress was found. © 1969.
