摘要
Two different armature designs, for rail accelerator applications have been studied during electromagnetic launch experiments. The designs investigated are an aluminium multi-finger monobloc and a copper fibre brush armature. The experimental set-up used and the results obtained together with an electro-thermal model that describes the armature interface behaviour during the acceleration process itself are presented in this paper.
