The magnetic-field dependence of the London penetration depth lambda(L) has been measured in a single crystal of V3Si in the Meissner state. In the whole temperature range studied (0.5 < T/T-c < 0.85, T-c = 16.4 K), lambda(L) changes quadratically as a function of the magnetic field H, as is expected for the s wave superconductors. This is the first observation of the magnetic-field induced pair-breaking effect on lambda(L) in the conventional type-II superconductors.
