摘要：

Using data of 4 urban meteorological stations and 7 stations of the surroundings of Vienna, Austria, the trend of the urban heat island during the last 25 years is investigated. A statistically significant trend of increasing temperature differencies between the urban area and the surroundings was found. The increase is 150% from 1952 until 1976. Connections with different town development characterizing factors are discussed and one of them (the number of inhabitants) is shown not to be directly trend setting. © 1979 Springer-Verlag.
