CRITICAL BEHAVIOR OF ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY OF PALLADIUM IRON ALLOYS

The critical behavior of three PdFe alloys containing 3, 6, and 9 at.% Fe have been studied by measuring the electrical resistivity in the neighborhood of the magnetic ordering temperature and computing dp/dT and d2p/ dT2 from the data. The critical exponent λ in the electrical resistivity above Tc is quite insensitive to the iron concentration, showing that the critical behavior of these alloys scales with Tc. © 1969 The American Institute of Physics.
