SATURATION PROCESS FOR F2- COLOR-CENTERS ABSORPTION IN LIF

摘要
An investigation of the saturation process of the F- 2 color centers absorption in LiF, used as a passive Q-switch for Nd3+ lasers, is presented. A two-level transient saturation model considering the losses as independent of incident energy, can describe the experimental data. A saturation power density of 0.16 MW/cm2 and an absorption cross section σ = (1.6 ± 0.2) × 10-17 cm2 have been determined. © 1990.
