摘要
1. 1. Linalool is recorded as a major constituent of the scent from the lateral reservoir of the metathoracic scent apparatus of the cotton stainer Dysdercus intermedius. 2. 2. The concentration of linalool rises to reach a maximum 14 days after adult emergence. 3. 3. Other results give support to the hypothesis that the scent aldehydes (hex-2-enal, oct-2-enal) are formed in the median reservoir from esters (hex-2-enyl acetate, oct-2-enyl acetate) supplied by the metathoracic secretory tubules. © 1979.
