摘要
YFeO3 orthoferrite films have been deposited on to quartz and sapphire substrates by pulsed laser deposition. The films crystallize when annealed at temperatures in the range 750 to 900 degrees C. The perpendicular hysteresis loops are rectangular with a maximum coercivity of 9 kOe. The Faraday rotation at 633 nm wavelength is in the range 4-5 X 10(3) deg/cm.
