摘要
Correlations between dimensionless groups describing the conditions of convective heat transfer in a condenser are developed from the operating parameters of heterogeneous condensation aerosol generators found in the literature. Seventeen different condenser systems were analyzed including seven different condensate materials and three different carrier gases. Almost all the condensers were operated within the region of laminar mixed convection for optimized monodispersity. The correlations are useful for condenser design and system optimization for monodisperse continuous flow condensation aerosol generators. © 1990.
