An article in the last issue of FUTURES described a series of experiments at RAND that compared the Delphi procedures with face-to-face interaction in the formulation of group judgements. Students were used as subjects and almanac type information as subject matter. In this article further data generated by these experiments are described, and the important question of the validity of the procedures when they involve value judgements, as in long-range forecasting, is discussed. © 1969, IPC Business Press Limited.
