DISCORDANCE BETWEEN QUANTUM AND CLASSICAL CORRELATION MOMENTS FOR CHAOTIC SYSTEMS

摘要
For systems whose classical orbits are chaotic, a set of quantum expectation values Q(r) is constructed which vanish for all hBAR, unlike their classical counterparts C(r) which are finite. This behaviour is not paradoxical because Q(r) and C(r) are moments of time correlation functions, which are dominated by the long-time limit where quantum and classical evolutions disagree.
