摘要
Amorphous (vitreous) Y3Fe5O12 has been prepared using the twin-roller quenching technique. The material is antiferromagnetic with a Néel temperature of approximately 40 K. The Mössbauer spectra indicate that the iron environment in the amorphous material is different from that in crystalline Y3Fe5O 12 (YIG).
