摘要
This ten-year follow-up study of hyperactive children leaves two important challenges: First, how can one identify the minority of hyperactive subjects destined to have poor outcomes, so that special therapy can be given to those at risk? Second, what therapeutic, educational, and environmental interventions need to be developed to decrease the continuing morbidity of this condition? In other words, how can one modify the poor self-esteem, the impulsive, immature personality traits, the impulsive life-style, and the poor socialization that remain with most hyperactive subjects?
