摘要
Loading and elution processes of boric acid using chelating resins which contain methylaminoglucitol groups are accompanied by characteristic pH changes. This behaviour, therefore, was used to follow up the ion-exchange reactions avoiding the lengthy direct analysis of the boron concentration in the outflow. High concentrations of alkali and alkaline earth metal ions show no influence so that the method is also suitable to control recovery of boric acid from brines.
