摘要
Excitation energies and differential cross sections for inelastic scattering of 11.5 or 11.8 MeV deuterons leading to the collective 2+ and 3- states of 64,62,60,58Ni and 68,66,64Zn have been measured. The cross sections have been compared with distorted-wave Born approximation calculations for a deformable potential using complex coupling anf including the contribution from Coulomb excitation. Effects of using different exit and entrance channel optical-model parameters on the cross sections for the 3- states are discussed. In addition to spin and parity assignments, values of B(E2) and B(E3) have been extracted. In all cases studied in the present work, DWBA calculations yield values of B(E2; 0 → 2) in good agreement with previous measurements if the interaction radius is chosen to be the radius of the real well. © 1969.
