ANISOTROPY EFFECTS IN CERIUM KONDO COMPOUNDS

摘要
We present here a theoretical model, based on the resonant scattering mechanism including crystal-field effects and taking into account the anisotropy of the conduction electron relaxation rate, to explain the large anisotropy observed in the electrical resistivity, thermoelectric power and thermal conductivity of cerium Kondo compounds. The transport properties are computed firstly within the perturbation theory for temperatures larger than the Kondo temperature and then within the slave boson approach for the low temperature regime. The results are compared with experimental data in cerium Kondo compounds, such as CeCu6 or CePt2Si2.
