A high synthetic potential is promised by imido(imino)phosphorane 2 accessible by N2 elimination from the azidophosphane 1. In 2, as in the isoelectronic oxygen derivative 3, the phosphorus atom is in a trigonal‐planar environment. Ar = 2,4,6‐tBu3C6H2. (Figure Presented.)
