摘要
A positive correlation was found between the stability of a learned discrimination and increased cage size in canaries. In the smaller cages, the canaries failed to achieve criterion for a simple discrimination problem, while in a cage four times as large, the same canaries immediately achieved a criterion level performance. A fruitful use of operant conditioning methods requires consideration of the features of the environment important to the animal. © 1969, Brill. All rights reserved.
