摘要
Recently, Holland and Gilman1 reported an improved procedure for the oxidation of alkynols to alkynoic acids* According to it the alkynol is added to a solution of Jones reagent* We had occasion to repeat the procedure on 5-hexynol several times, isolating “5-hexynoic acid (1) “, b.p. 108°/10 mm, in somewhat lower yield (55-60%) than described. © 1979, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
