摘要
1. 1. Daily assays during pipping and hatching stages of the chick egg for Musculus complexus and gastrocnemius muscle show similar changes for protein, lipid and nucleic acid content. 2. 2. Unique to M. complexus is the water inhibition (∼ 90 per cent wet wt.) and early decrease in glycogen content from 5 to 1 per cent. 3. 3. Increased enzyme activity observed for ATPase and acid phosphatase at hatching may precede M. complexus tissue breakdown. 4. 4. No unique changes were observed for a number of other enzyme activities. © 1969.
