DYNAMICS OF HYBRID OVERRELAXATION IN THE GAUSSIAN MODEL

摘要
For gaussian free fields we present an analysis of the dynamics of hybrid overrelaxation algorithms, where N exactly microcanonical update sweeps alternate with single local heatbath passes through the lattice. Dynamical exponents z = 1 can be reached with appropriate tuning of N.l Special interest in this simulation technique is derived from the fact that it represents the most efficient presently known algorithm for pure gauge theory.
