摘要
Some of the fundamental problems concerning nanocrystalline film electrodes such as photocurrent and photovoltage generation, the effect of an external bias, and the importance of surface states have been discussed. The problems have been described from a molecular perspective and for example it has been shown that quantum chemical calculations on small TiO2 clusters can be used to describe local surface states.
