CORRELATION OF INITIAL 87SR/86SR WITH RB/SR IN SOME LATE TERTIARY VOLCANIC ROCKS OF SOUTH ARABIA

摘要
A significant correlation has been found between initial 87Sr/86Sr and 87Rb/86Sr ratios for a suite of young volcanic rocks from South Arabia, giving an apparent Rb-Sr age 20-30 m.y. greater than the age of eruption. The anomalous age is believed to reflect a mantle event related to a previous magmatic episode. © 1969.
