摘要
Magneto-optical polar Kerr spectra of two monatomic layers of bcc-Fe (001), which were sandwiched by Au and Ag(001) layers, were investigated. A new peak appears in the off-diagonal conductivity spectrum at around 4 eV for the Fe layers grown on a Au surface. The new transition is tentatively attributed to the transition from the majority spin DELTA5 to the DELTA1 quantum well state.
