摘要
In a mass spectrometer benzotrifurazan fragments mainly by C-C fission, the principal degraded ions being fragments containing C2. Benzotrifuroxan in contrast loses NO giving larger carbon fragments including C6+. The radical-anion of benzotrifurazan is of the π-type with 6 equivalent nitrogens but that of benzotrifuroxan is of the σ-type in which spin due to only 2 equivalent nitrogens can be seen.
