摘要
The pineal gland, or 'third eye', has been implicated for many years as a transducer of lighting changes in the control of reproductive function. However, much of the information obtained to date has appeared to be contradictory. In this article Daniel Cardinali explains how some of this contradictory material was derived, and then presents the justification for using the pineal gland as a 'model' for the neuroendocrine roles of the hypothalamus. © 1979.
