摘要
AVO correction factors, or weights, can be derived from the seismic range equation. The average value of the seismic range equation at the target zone, without radiated energy density and large reflection coefficient, over a specified frequency band can be found for each ofset. The weight for an offset is the square root of the ratio of the average value at the near offset to the average value for the particular offset under consideration. The weights can be applied to the model and to the seismic gathers to reveal the target's amplitude behaviour with offset. -Author
