摘要
Copolymers of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulphonic acid (AMPS) with acrylamide (AAm), of various compositions were prepared by radical copolymerization. The compositions of the copolymers were established by elemental analysis and values of reactivity ratios r1(AMPS) = 0.7 +/- 0.08 and r2(AAm) = 1.1 +/- 0.1 calculated. The copolymers were characterized by IR and TG (thermal gravimetry). The thermal stabilities of the copolymers are intermediate between those of the homopolymers and appear to degrade in three steps.
