摘要
Lithium is the lightest of the solid elements suitable as an electrode material in galvanic cells. Together with the enormously high negative potential of lithium, lithium cells are further characterised by large capacities and voltages, ie by high energy densities. The high negative potential of lithium does, however, place corresponding demands on the reduction stability of the electrolyte. That is why, with the exception of a few inorganic compounds, only organic electrolytes can be considered. In the following, the properties of these electrolytes are outlined and their application possibilities in both primary and secondary lithium cells discussed. © 1990.
