PORE STRUCTURE OF UNIFORM SPHERICAL COBALT PHOSPHATE PARTICLES

摘要
The pore structure and properties of uniform spherical cobalt phosphate particles have been investigated by various means. The chemical and thermogravimetrical analyses gave the formula of the particles as Co3(PO4)1.95(OH)0.15.4.4H2O. The X-ray diffractometer measurement revealed that the particles possess a thermally unstable layer structure. The particles pretreated below 45-degrees-C adsorbed H2O much more than N2, CH3OH, C6H6, CO2, and CCl4, but this selective adsorption of H2O disappeared on outgassing above 50-degrees-C. This result could be interpreted by a molecular sieve effect of slit-shaped micropores in the particles.
