摘要
The physical basis for obtaining interface shapes for certain types of capillary system in a gravitational field is explained. The representation of the physical laws in the form of differential equations whose solutions give interface meridian curves is explained. The choices of variables are discussed. The available methods for carrying out numerical integration are surveyed. Recommendations are made with examples of starting conditions and computer programs. Accuracy of meridian coordinates, and the use of microcomputers is discussed.
