摘要
In this letter we report our high-pressure x-ray studies on quasicrystalline Al-18 at. % Fe up to 100 kbar. A metal anvil clamp cell has been used during the experimental investigation with NaCl as the in situ pressure marker. While the d spacings of NaCl corresponding to various Miller indices show a similar compression under pressure, those of the quasicrystals show a large anisotropic compression.
