摘要
A satisfactory relationship is found between the solar activity index that includes both the number of sunspot groups, eta, and their mean heliolatitude, phi, and the galactic cosmic ray (GCR) intensity over more than three 11-year cycles. The solar activity index, eta/phi, is compared with the tilt of the heliospheric current sheet (HCS).
