摘要
Measured adaptation to split-field prisms by a battery of sensorimotor coordination tests in 2 experiments. Gaze-contingent adaptation of the type reported by I. Kohler (see 39:1) was found. The various tests and eye-movement pictures were interpreted to suggest that the mechanism for such adaptation involves a change in registered eye position. Reliable gaze contingent adaptation is obtained after 2 wk. of exposure but some evidence for the existence of such conditional adaptation can be obtained with 4 hr. of controlled exposure.
