PHOTOLUMINESCENCE AND CATHODOLUMINESCENCE STUDIES OF SEMICONDUCTING DIAMOND

摘要
We have carried out low temperature cathodoluminescence and photoluminescence studies of radiative processes in synthetic and natural boron-doped diamond. The similarities between the cathodoluminescence and photoluminescence emission bands suggest that they originate from the same center. The photoluminescence studies of the synthetic diamond samples reveal the existence of a new emission band around 1.84 eV and a new vibronic band with zero phonon line at 2.395 eV.
