摘要
The repeated use of inexpensive plastic adapters for membrane filtration is described. It was found possible to use plastic adapters marketed as disposable for more than 100 filtrations. Cellulose membranes could be reused up to 10 times after boiling in 3 changes of distilled water. The effect of adapter temperature and pore size was studied and also the release and adsorption of 260 mμ absorbing substances with the unit components. The S.D. expressed as a percentage of the mean for 10 replicate determinations of E260 was 2.7%. © 1969.
