摘要：

In Ascobolus viridulus Phill. and Plow. during ascospore development a double membrane first appears near the periphery of the ascus but within the plasmalemma. It is apparently formed by coalescence of vesicles budded from the nucleus. This double membrane is first a cap which then extends downwards as a tube enclosing all eight nuclei, later invaginating between adjacent nuclei to delimit the spores. The complex wall of the mature spore develops between the two layers of the delimiting membrane of the young spore. © 1969 OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS.
