摘要：

Data gathered from observation, interviews, and a review of consultation records of an inner city prenatal clinic population indicated repetitive patterns by which physicians contribute to their patients' nonacceptance of birth control. These repetitive patterns, which seem to operate unconsciously, are reviewed, and suggestions are made for dealing with the passivity, fears, and supersititions of lower socioeconomic class women. © 1969.
