摘要
A theory of surface bone remodeling is proposed and applied to the problem of predicting the surface remodeling that will occur in the diaphysial region of a long bone as a result of superposed compressive load and as a result of a force-fitted medullary pin. The essential prediction is that the endosteal surface will move away from the medullary pin and permit its axial movement. © 1979.
