摘要
A novel all-fibre saturable absorber based on the interaction between the evanescent field of a tapered single-mode fibre and a surrounding solution of a laser dye is described. Results are presented which demonstrate saturable absorption at pump powers of only tens of milliWatts. © 1990, The Institution of Electrical Engineers. All rights reserved.
