EXTENSION OF CLEARANCE AND IMPACT FORCE ESTIMATION APPROACHES TO A BEAM STOP SYSTEM

摘要
Three novel approaches to estimate clearances and impact forces, developed for a one-degree-of-freedom impact oscillator, have been extended to a simple undamped beam-stop system to demonstrate the applicability of the previously proposed methods. The case considered here is more practical, as the impact forces and clearances obtained using data from the mechanical experiments were compared with measured impact forces and actual clearances, respectively, and indicated a good agreement. © 1993 Academic Press Limited.
