STUDY OF K-P-]KBARNPI REACTIONS AT 1.33 GEV/C

摘要
The reactions K-p→K̄Nπ at 1.33 GeVc are found to be dominated by K̄*(890)N production. Some evidence is also found for N*(1236)K̄ and Y0*(1520)π production. Slight amounts of Y1*(1765)π are seen. An investigation of the angular distributions of events in the K̄*(890) mass region was made. A backward peaking exists in the production angular distribution of K̄*- p→K̄0π-p. No evidence for this backward peaking is found in the other K̄*N final states. Both production and the decay angular distributions of the K̄*(890) indicate that the K̄*0n final state can be explained by an exchange of a pseudoscalar meson of small mass. In the K̄*-p final states, the exchange of an isotopic spin-zero vector meson as well as a pseudoscalar meson explain the data. © 1968 The American Physical Society.
