摘要
Models suggest that: 1) improved predator capture abilities may often reduce selection for prey escape abilities; 2) characters of the predator other than capture ability may have a greater effect on selection for prey escape ability than does predator capture ability; and 3) other characters of the prey may have a larger effect on selection for prey escape ability than do characters of the predator. The population dynamics of both species and the manner in which capture and escape abilities combine to determine a capture rate are both important in determining the nature of evolution of anti-predator traits in the prey. -from Author
